With the establishment of the “Kyoto Citizen’s Charter” in 1956, Kyoto was the first city in Japan to produce movie news to be screened in movie theaters.
At this year’s film festival, we will present the style of Kyoto and lifestyles of its citizens from roughy 60 years ago, in 1956 and 1957.
