As the impact of the Cold War extends to Chile following WWII, President Gonzalez Widera orders police officer Oscar Peluchonneau to arrest Senator Pablo Neruda for condemning a government that betrayed the Communist Party. While Peluchonneau is unrelenting in his attempts to arrest him, Neruda finds the time amidst his fleeing to write the poem “Oinaru Uta”. What will become of these two men, engaged in a strange fugitive story?
